Isn't self-hosting too complicated?

Do I have to run every model locally?

No. AICORTEX is hybrid by design. Route some workloads to cloud providers and others to local inference while keeping one application-facing API and policy layer.

No. Open WebUI is one interface in a larger platform spanning model routing, data, embeddings, persistent memory, knowledge graphs, agent tools, approvals, identity, ingress security, metrics, logs, traces, reports and specialized applications.

What if one open-source project changes?

Replaceability is part of the architecture. Standard interfaces such as OpenAI-compatible APIs, MCP, OIDC/OAuth, OpenTelemetry, PostgreSQL and containers reduce the cost of changing individual components.
